Public Works 

As a Public works general laborer this individual is required to perform general, unskilled manual work requiring no special training. Trash truck will also be a primary required duty. The other duties also require the ability to do heavy physical labor. These duties include, but are not limited to: shoveling snow, gravel and dirt, mowing lawns with hand or riding power mowers, raking leaves, cutting brush, shrubs and trees, provide maintenance of manhole covers, sidewalks, streets, sewers and water mains. The position will also require cleaning gutters, culverts, sewers and other drainage structures and performing other duties that may be required. The successful candidate will be required, periodically, to be on a 24-hour on-call status and may be required to be on duty Saturdays, Sundays and holidays when assigned. Must perform all work within safety guidelines and possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Pocomoke city offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
