Schools in Pocomoke City
There are three schools in Pocomoke City, all operated
by the Worcester County Board of Education. Pocomoke Elementary
School (Grades K - 3) is located on the Pocomoke Beltway and is
a former State Blue Ribbon School Award Winner. Pocomoke Middle
School (Grades 4 - 8) is located on Eighth Street between Cedar
Street and Broad Street. Pocomoke High School (Grades 9-12) is
located on Old Va Road at Cedar Street and is also a State Blue
Ribbon School Award Winner. A major renovation of PHS was completed
in 2010. PHS athletic teams consistently compete at the state
level in boys’ soccer, boys’ basketball, and girls’

Park is a large, county-owned facility located within the City
limits on Groton Road at Stockton Road. The park includes several
lighted baseball and soccer fields, concessions, play equipment,
and a fishing pond. The Worcester County Parks and Recreation
Department provides several organized activities throughout the
year at Newtowne Park and elsewhere. Please call 410.632.2144

The City's Industrial Park is located on Broad Street near the
Pocomoke Beltway, and approximately 1/2 mile from U.S. Route 13.
It is also located on the mainline of the Norfolk-Southern Railroad.
The Park's occupant's include Swales Aerospace, Inc., Bel-Art
Industries, Nu Tech, Inc., Audey, Ricca Chemical-East, Bennelli
The City owns several vacant industrial sites which are available.

The City owns and operates a 20-stall horse barn at the fairgrounds
on Broad Street. The barn is used primarily by trainers for harness
race horses who utilize the adjacent practice track, also on the
fairgrounds. The stalls are available for rent to any horse owner
on a first-come, first-serve basis.

and all owners must provide health certificates for their animals.
