Pocomoke City is accepting proposals from Professional Service firms with proven experience and expertise in upgrades and installation of electrical equipment. Electrical upgrades provide solutions for tripping breakers or flickering lights due to few outlets for the many modern appliances and prevent fire accidents and electric shock originating from power hitches. Some of the electrical upgrades that electricians handle include rewiring and rerouting, installing modern light switch features, panel upgrades and the integration of smart home features.

WHEREAS, State of Maryland through the Department of Housing and Community Development has solicited applications from eligible jurisdictions to apply for funding under the Maryland Community Development Block Grant Program; and

WHEREAS, Pocomoke City is eligible to apply for funds from the Maryland Community Development Block Grant Program through the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development; and

Pocomoke City is accepting proposals from Professional Service firms with proven experience and expertise in removal, replacement, sales and installation of carpeting.

Pocomoke City is soliciting proposals from contractors who have the skills and capacity necessary to provide exterior maintenance as requested in this Scope of Work. The work is to include the following:

  • Slate shingle repair and/or replacement in areas.
  • Repair and repainting of Cupola
  • Repair/replace soffit;
  • Repair/replace rain gutters;

Proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by the City Manager and Mayor & Council. After considering factors outlined in the Proposal Contents Section in this RFP, a contractor will be recommended to the Mayor & City Council for approval. Contractors will be notified by phone or e-mail of the City’s selection. Proposals are due by December 17, 2020 no later than 4:30PM.

The City Council of Pocomoke City is ordering the following owners to repair or demolish and remove the following structures designated as either UNSAFE structures or DANGEROUS DWELLINGS in accordance with Chapter 107 and Chapter 146-10 through 146-15 of the Pocomoke City Code:

This Notice will be updated with HOLIDAY PICKUP SCHEDULES as they occur! 

Thanksgiving trash pickup schedule is Monday, November 23, 2020 and Tuesday, November 24, 2020 will be regular scheduled pickup and Thursday, November 26, 2020 will be a day earlier on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Monday, November 30, 2020 will be trash pickup for the entire City. 

As a precaution against COVlD-19, public access to City Hall is restricted until further notice.
