Update April 2, 2024:

Our contractor has a need to set a well point system to facilitate a section of the pipeline installation that extends from Clarke Ave into our Station. To install and operate the well point system we will need to Close Clarke Ave for approximately a week. The attached detour plan shows the section of Clarke Ave to be closed and the proposed detour route.

To Residents and Business Owners:

This letter serves as a notification for a continuation of the scheduled temporary road closure of the
intersections on Clarke Avenue from Maple Street to Anne Street as well as along Clarke Avenue. This
closure coincides with the construction of the Chesapeake Utilities Pocomoke Crossing, including
installation of a 1.5 mile long 8" natural gas pipeline.
This temporary road closure of the above listed streets is scheduled to continue on March 21, 2024 and
finish on approximately April 21, 2024. On those days, the road will be closed from 8:00 AM until 7:00
PM. During this closure, traffic will be detoured through the neighboring streets; we ask that you
please follow the detour signage that will be installed.
Please note that all residents along these streets will have access during the road closures. However,
we do ask that the residents along Clarke Avenue to not park on the West side of the street until this
part of the project is complete. We kindly ask that residents utilize parking along the intersecting
streets. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please feel free to contact me with any special
