Notice of Public Hearing and Fair Summary

Offered for sale:

 RESOLUTION No. 473 & 474 OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF POCOMOKE CITY, MARYLAND TO DECLARE CERTAIN PROPERTIES AS SURPLUS.

      WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have determined pursuant to Section C-24 (B) 47 of the Code of Pocomoke City, Maryland, that certain property owned by Pocomoke City is no longer needed for public use and has therefore agreed to dispose of same.

      NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF POCOMOKE CITY, MARYLAND that:

209 Laurel Street, Pocomoke City, MD 21851, is no longer needed for public use and is hereby declared surplus property.

NEW PUMP STATION PROJECT UPDATE!

 

The intersection at Dorchester and Somerset Avenues will be closed from 7am-5pm Monday through Thursday each week until completion.  The corner of Somerset and Dorchester will be open at night time and on the weekends. The City appreciates the citizen's cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience.

State, county and local partners are working together to target vulnerable regions of Pocomoke City and Worcester County for possible protection, restoration or further research.

 

Name of the Project: POCOMOKE WASTEWATER PUMP STATION UPGRADES

 

Purpose: This is part of our City-Wide Water Quality Improvement Implementation Plan; this project is focused on essential repairs and replacements for our wastewater system.  The contract is managed by GMB and subcontracted to M2 Construction. 

 

Amount and Funding of Project:  $1,474,465.00 funded by USDA, RMC, and ARPA
