PUBLIC NOTICE: SPECIAL ELECTION 

There will be a Special Election for the District 3 Council seat on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. Voting will take place at the Community Center in the "Maryland Room". The deadline to file for candidacy is at 4:30pm on Thursday, February 27, 2025.Candidates must file in person with the City Clerk at City Hall located at 101 Clarke Avenue, Pocomoke City, Maryland. The fee to file a certificate of nomination shall be $25.00.  A City Councilmember must be at least 21 years of age, a registered voter of Worcester County and a resident of District 3 for at least one (1) year immediately preceding the election. The successful candidate will be sworn to office at the Mayor & Council meeting on Monday, May 5, 2025. Absentee Ballots are available. All ballots must be picked up by Thursday, April 24, 2025 and received by Monday, April 28, 2025. The last day to register to vote in this year's election will be March 24, 2025.
