Sealed bids for Pocomoke City Street Improvements will be received by Pocomoke City, Maryland (herein called the "OWNER") at the office of the City Manager, City Hall, 101 Clarke Avenue, Pocomoke City, Maryland 21851, until 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at which time bids will be opened publicly and read aloud. Work generally consists of milling and resurfacing of approximately 23,000 square yards of bituminous concrete, installation of 14 ADA sidewalk ramps, and removal and replacement of deteriorated curb and sidewalks in various locations. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is GEORGE, MILES & BUHR, LLC, 206 West Main Street, Salisbury, Maryland, (410) 742-3115.  Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents may also be examined at the office of the City Manager, City Hall, 101 Clarke Avenue, Pocomoke City, Maryland 21851, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.   Copies of the Contract Documents may be purchased at the office of George, Miles & Buhr, LLC, 206 West Main Street, Salisbury, Maryland 21801, upon payment of Forty Dollars ($40.00) for each flash drive, non-refundable. Hard copies may be purchased for One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). Please email sharrold@gmbnet.com for coordination of purchase. Checks shall be made payable to George, Miles & Buhr, LLC. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the Owner for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid.  No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Pocomoke City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and/or waive informalities or irregularities, and/or to accept or reject any items of any bid, as it may deem best for its interest.  The bids will be evaluated, and award will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.
