Join the Sturgis One Room School Museum in Pocomoke to celebrate MLK Jr. Day at 209 Willow Street, Pocomoke, MD 21851.  

On Monday, January 19th, 2026 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. the museum will offer free tours, to include a poster exhibit educating visitors on MLK Jr.'s history as well as the museum. 

Local Pastors will provide community prayer at 11:10 a.m. and 3 p.m. sharp. Miriam "Peaches" Cane, past museum board member and volunteer will provide tours, and Mayor Todd Nock will stop by for a visit. 

The Sturgis One Room School Museum is the only African American One Room School in Worcester County retaining its original integrity.
